Okay guys I have done this before with fantastic results. However, I can't seem to get the fasting mindset going. I would like to go on a prolonged water fast. Once those first few days are over it is a breeze. Just can't seem to start. Any words of wisdom?

I think having a detailed plan is helpful. Part of the plan should include expecting that you will run into those tougher times and concrete ways you will handle them (read, medidate, go for a walk, call a friend).
